When they arrived, Petra took their breath away. The entrance was a massive crack in the earth called the —a towering canyon of swirling pink and orange rock. As they walked through the cool, narrow path, they saw carved camels, water channels cut into stone, and finally… the Khazneh (the Treasury). It was a temple facade three times the size of Dholakpur’s palace, carved right out of the cliff.
