Leo held his breath and opened a new tab.

Leo exhaled, sank into his chair, and took a long, slow sip of his now-cold coffee. He’d never take a thumbnail for granted again. chrome most visited sites not showing

Leo was a creature of habit. Every morning, his ritual was the same: click the Chrome icon, sip his coffee, and let his eyes drift across the grid on the new tab page. Eight little squares. Eight doorways to his digital life. Leo held his breath and opened a new tab

There was (top left), Google Docs (middle), his beloved Reddit - r/coffee (third row, first column), and the BBC News tile he clicked out of obligation. It was a map of his mind. Leo was a creature of habit

He stared at the screen. The familiar pastel squares were gone. In their place, a ghostly white space and a faint message: “Most visited sites will appear here.”

He refreshed. Nothing. He closed the tab and opened a new one. Still nothing. It was as if Chrome had developed a sudden, cruel amnesia. The browser remembered his bookmarks, his history, his passwords. But it had forgotten what mattered .

Leo’s fingers trembled as he typed it into the address bar. A hidden laboratory of Chrome’s experimental features. He searched the page for “most visited.” There it was: a setting labeled – set to “Disabled.”
