The button is a quick way to capture your screen without installing extra software. Here’s how it works on Windows. 1. Capture the full screen Press PrtScn → copies entire screen to clipboard. Paste it anywhere (Ctrl + V) into Paint, Word, or an email. 2. Capture just the active window Click on the window you want, then press Alt + PrtScn → only that window is copied. 3. Capture and save automatically (Windows 8/10/11) Press Win + PrtScn → screen dims briefly. Screenshot is saved to Pictures > Screenshots . 4.
