Mmana-gal Antenna Files May 2026
So we save them. All of them. The bad ones. The narrow-banded ones. The ones with negative real impedance, which oscillate only in the imagination.
You press Calculate again.
MMANA-GAL does not simulate. It dreams in complex impedance. It visualizes currents as colored arrows — red for rage, blue for surrender. It shows you the radiation pattern, far-field, three dimensions: a donut of possibility, a lobe like a tongue tasting the ionosphere. mmana-gal antenna files
At first, only a grid. Cartesian, indifferent, absolute. X, Y, Z — the three witnesses. Then the wires appear. Segments. Nodes. Straight lines pretending to be curves, because calculus is expensive but freeware is forever. A single driven element, trembling at 7.1 MHz. A reflector, mute and parasitic. Directors, like a line of monks facing the wind. So we save them
But the files are fragile. Corrupt easily. A single segment mislabeled — wire 4 instead of wire 5 — and the pattern shatters into side lobes, useless as a broken promise. The optimizer spins its wheels. Convergence fails. You sit in the dark, staring at the mesh, wondering if the universe has geometry but no mercy. The narrow-banded ones
