#Windows #DevLife #Software Title: Can we talk about how "Windows Easy Installer" is usually the hardest part of the process?

Builders, are you still shipping legacy MSI blockers, or have you moved to modern package managers (Winget/Chocolatey) or true silent installers?

❓ 14 checkboxes for bloatware you don't want. ❓ A hidden "Advanced" button just to change the install path. ❓ Three reboots just to update a single driver.

For decades, the "Setup.exe" has been the gatekeeper to getting work done. But too often, "easy" really means:

I’m building a small utility and want to live up to the name "Easy Installer." But after downloading 10 random tools this week, I realized most devs get it wrong.

If your "next > next > next" asks me to restart Chrome or disable my antivirus, it's not easy. It's broken.

(Sidenote: Shoutout to Inno Setup and WiX Toolset for keeping it simple.)
